Choudrant Elementary: Hope everyone has had a restful weekend. I wanted to remind everyone that tomorrow is Coffee and Communication from 8:00-8:45am in the library. Come and enjoy a cup of coffee and visit with parents and the principal about anything that you want to discuss. I am including a google form if you would like to speak on a specific topic. I think parent communication and relationships with the school are the most important factors in growing a school and ensuring that we are making our decisions based on what's in the best interest of students. Parents, School picture retakes will take place this Friday, January 20th. This is for the yearbook. If your child was not here on the original picture date of November 3rd, they will be pulled for their yearbook picture. If you are interested in purchasing school pictures an order form is attached. https://5il.co/1ndy5 If you purchased pictures the 1st time and want them retaken, please return the original's and they will also have pictures retaken. Bus 20 had a substitute driver this morning. If your child was not picked up, please bring them to school. Tardies for students that ride bus 20 will not be counted.

We had the MOST fun this week! We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We will see everyone back on Thursday, January 4.

First Grade Parents: This afternoon is the Christmas Stem Activity. Please do not park in the carline area in front of the office. The buses will be pulling in and will need to park in the front. We are looking forward to seeing everyone this afternoon.

ALL Lincoln Parish Schools and central office will be closed Friday, December 9 for the state championship game in New Orleans. Choudrant Aggies wish everyone a safe trip and hope the Bearcats bring back a win to Lincoln Parish.

6th Grade Beta students will need to arrive at 5:30 in the CHS Auditorium to practice before the Induction Ceremony Monday, December 5th. The ceremony will begin at 6:00 pm in the CHS Auditorium. Appropriate dress is requested. Parents are invited. Please contact stephaniegriffin@lincolnschools.org with any questions.

4th and 5th Grade students that were invited to be inducted into Junior Beta will participate in the Induction Ceremony Tuesday, December 6th at 8:15 am in the CES Gym. Appropriate dress is requested. Parents are invited. Please contact stephaniegriffin@lincolnschools.org with any questions.

Parent Reminder: Coffee & Communication is this Tuesday, Nov. 29 from 8:00-9:00 am in the library. This is a time to visit with Mrs. Martin about upcoming events or topics that are important to CES. Based on the parent survey sent out before Thanksgiving, we will be discussing: 1. Possibility of 6th grade moving to Choudrant High School next year. 2. A few parents also asked that we discuss uniforms. I'm happy to discuss this topic, but I do want to stress that CES does not have plans for our students to move to uniforms in the near future. I believe that open communication is vital to the success of Choudrant Elementary. I look forward to visiting with parents on Tuesday.
