Bus 34 Parents,
Bus 34 is running about 20 min late, she had to pick up a new bus to run the route.
She will be there as soon as possible. All students will have the option of eating breakfast when they arrive at school.

I hope every one is enjoying their weekend. I wanted to remind everyone that this Monday is Coffee and Communication with the Principal in the library from 8:00-8:30am. If you can't make it this month, we will have this event every other month. It will be a time to discuss upcoming CES events and answer any questions that you may have. I am looking forward to seeing and visiting with you Monday.

A message from CC Coaches:
Cross Country practice change:
Practice will be at Lincoln Parish Park 6-7 pm. We do not have to pay. Tell them you are Choudrant Cross Country. The director has asked that we DO NOT speed. Speed limit is 15mph. Runners and bikers could be anywhere. We also need to make sure we pick up any thing we bring. Meet at the playground ❤️
Tonight we will have inner squad battles!

Our new PTC officers would like for parents to complete this survey. We are excited about a brand new year for our school and school supporters.

Choudrant Elementary Book Fair is all next week. We will have an after hours time for parents to shop on Tuesday, Sept. 13 from 3:45-5:45. Pre-K-2nd graders are celebrating Grandparents’ Day also on Tuesday and then grandparents are welcome to take their grandchild to the book fair. Please contact your child’s teacher about what time they will celebrate Grandparents’ Day.
I’m also including a link from PTC, if anyone would like to volunteer to help during the book fair.

Pre-K-2nd grade parents:
Reminder that tonight is your Open House starting at 5:30.
2nd grade parents will report directly to the library.
Pre-k-1st grade parents will meet in the gym first.
We are looking forward to seeing you this evening.

The Boy Scout representative will be in the office after Open House if you have any questions for him.

6th grade parents:
Open House will be in the gym tonight starting at 5:30. If you are unable to attend we will send a pamplet home with topics discussed. Hope to see you there.

Parents that have children at CHS and CES:
CHS has a MUCH shorter carline than here at CES. To help move both carlines more efficiently, we ask that you pick up CHS students first and then come through our carline.

Pre-K and Kindergarten Parents,
It was a great first day for boys and we look forward to seeing our girls tomorrow.
Carline procedures are important to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and parents. When coming through carline, please stay in the car at all times. A staff member will open the door for your child if he or she can't open the door. If your child has trouble buckling up, you are welcome to pull into the parking lot and help them to buckle up. In the afternoon, we do ask that you don't get out of your car in the carline to buckle them in.
Please make sure your child is ready in the mornings, when dropping off. Carline is not the place to pack a bookbag or tie shoes. Thanks for your help and we look forward to seeing you in carline.

Pre-K and Kindergarten Parents:
We are excited about our newest Little Aggies starting school this week. A few reminders...
Boys only will attend on Monday. Girls only on Tuesday. Everyone will come to school on Wednesday. We do not allow parents to walk students in on the first day. We will have extra teachers stationed to show our newest Aggies where to go. It's going to be a great week!!
Drop off begins at 7:20. The tardy bell rings at 7:50. We will dismiss at 3:15. Please have your carline sign visible in the drivers side when picking up in the afternoon.

Pre-K parents:
We apologize, Pre-K with popsicles starts at 5:00pm tonight.
See you then.

Pre-K Parents:
We are still having popsicles with Pre-K at 5:30.
Class rosters will be posted on the glass of the front office. You may then drop off school supplies in the classroom. While the children are enjoying popsicles with their friends and teachers, you may go to the cafeteria and pick up important paperwork.
School fees and lunch money can be turned into the front office.
Looking forward to seeing our new Aggies tonight!

KIndergarten parents:
Here is the link to fill out the cafeteria forms digitally.

1st-6th grade parent reminder that Prep night is tonight. Rosters are posted by library and front office. Please go to classroom and drop off supplies and then come to the gym to pick up paperwork. We have set up places in the cafeteria for you to fill out the paperwork before you leave and turn in. Don’t forget to stop by and pay your school fees at the office.
Kona ice will also be set up in the front.

3rd Grade Parents,
We left off the school supply list top load page protectors. If you could buy 1 pack of 20, we would appreciate it.
Thank you, 3rd grade teachers

Don’t forget tonight is our 1st Prep Day for 1st-6th grade parents with last name ending in A-M from 4:00-6:00pm.
We will have class lists posted by the back door near the library and the front office. Feel free to drop off school supplies in the classrooms and head to the gym to pick up t-shirts, pay school fees, and fill out paperwork. Kona Ice will be there as well. We are excited to celebrate the beginning of school.

We are excited to see everyone next week at our Prep Nights. I have included below some of the forms that you are being asked to fill out. We are having a drawing for a Bypass Carline Pickup for the year, for parents that have turned in all their paperwork.
Looking forward to a great school year!!
